Ambassador Ms. Pirkko-Liisa Kyöstilä, the Head of the Representative office of Finland to the Palestinian Authority, and Mr. Nader Abu Amsha, Director of the East Jerusalem YMCA Rehabilitation Program signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two organizations to support the project; “Empowering young Palestinian Women with disabilities to access their Rights” that will be implemented from October 2015- September 2016 by the East Jerusalem YMCA Rehabilitation Program with the generous funding of the Finnish Representative office in Ramallah. The project will be implemented in the whole area of the West Bank and will work on building the capacity of young women with disabilities to influence attitudes, practices and decision making processes in local and national government to protect the rights of young women living with disabilities and to call for effective implementation of the Palestinian disability law among several other activities.
